Barely Blue collection now shining on Etsy

I'm sitting here listening to John Hiatt & the Goners singing "My Baby Blue" and looking through this Barely Blue treasury pulled together by LoveBex. Outside the sky is blue and I'm wearing a blue shirt...'nuf said.

My favorite items here include this elegant Table lamp, accent lamp, night light Blue Sky made by FiligreeCreations from Latvia. There are a lot more of these whimsical light balloons in her shop you should check them out.

I also was impressed by this Butterfly Trio Sandblasted Art Tile made by CatnipStudio. These tiles would make a great accent for any room and could be worked into an interior wall tile pattern for a kitchen or bath.

The featured item in this collection is white & pale blue medium turks head knot rope bracelet one of the blended color combinations in my Etsy shop. This bracelet can be made in both smaller and larger sizes by special order. To request a custom design like this please use the Etsy convo utility or leave a comment here.

Sea Shades collection now open on Etsy

Warm ocean colors are the theme for Sea Shades a collection made by Shoebox727.

Galileo was in the news recently so this original 1895 Antique Engraving of the Solar System and the Zone of the Planetoids would make a fine addition to your observatory wall. Offered by the von Strudels in their aptly named shop bananastrudel from a huge collection of chromolithographs. You may want to visit their other Etsy Shop fotostrudel for more pictures.

From an unlikely but strangely interesting shop named montesanoalpacas we get up cycled micro-architecture for birds. Their profile is all about alpacas raised on an Alabama farm but their Teal Shutter Wooded Birdhouse is but one example of a fascinating collection of bird houses made from salvaged materials.

The featured item in this collection is wide green & blue turks head knot sailor bracelet  one of the more popular blended color combinations in my Etsy shop. This bracelet can be made in both smaller and larger sizes by special order. To request a custom design like this please use the Etsy convo utility or leave a comment here.

FOG .. quiet ..peaceful collection now settling in on Etsy

This wonderful relaxing collection by mary smith features a number of photographs softened by atmospheric moisture. Mary's shop corgipal is filled with more soft art supplies for threadbangers and knitters. I wonder what breed of dog lives in mary's house?

In the non photograph category is this Ghost Crows Chawan made by Zygote in an undisclosed north american location and sold through fetishghost BoneOrchard Teaware & Gothic Sterling Noir. If stoneware can emulate fog this is perhaps the best example I've seen.

I've been to the coast of Maine and Page Eastman's photograph of Schoodic Point titled Fog and Roses captures the cool wet intensity of a low tide beach. See more of her skillful compositions in her shop Page Eastman Photography.

The featured item in this collection is fog grey turks head knot rope bracelet small one of the simple classic three part sold color rope bracelets  in my Etsy shop. This bracelet can be made in larger sizes by special order. To request a custom design like this please use the Etsy convo utility or leave a comment here.

three new )strata( design bracelets 1545, 1546, 1547

New slip-on style mixed fiber bracelet that has been  laid out and is ready to be finished. The blue and purple cords are synthetic, the white and teal is cotton, the olive drab is a piece of paracord, and the black is a polyester.
The waxed thread loops show how the tensioning thread is placed across the grain of the cords and left in a relaxed condition. (1545)

When drawn up firmly the width of this bracelet will be about 3/4".

This bracelet is available in my Zibbet shop. Check out more like this in the design section or click here to send me a message or make a special request.

Denim blue turks head knot rope bracelet 1526

Denim Blue hand dyed cord made into a wide slip on cuff. The plain weave design is 22x9x2 with the ends trimmed and stitched to prevent unraveling. See the little white waxed thread? That's the stitching that holds the loose ends.

Size is "large" 8 1/2" (216 mm) so this will slip on and off easily but it it gets wet it will shrink a little bit.
The cord is a 100% cotton braid about 2.5 mm diameter so this is less bulky than similar bracelets made from 1/8" cord.

See this bracelet in the solid colors section of the Etsy shop.
