 Hand twisted rope made from cotton butcher twine in four pairs creates a 4 mm square rope that is easy to work into a multi-wrap bracelet. The pair of holes in clay button secures the loop ends of the yarns.

The rope machine is a small bench top size which can create finished segments of about 76" length. These wrap bracelets are about 42" not including the loop.

The waxed thread whipping secures the loop.

basket weave bracelet olive taupe and ecru 3204

 The high contrast cord colors show off the distinctive spiral pattern created by the double over-under basket weave technique. Only two colors of cord are used leaving the third weave path unpopulated and opening up the texture of the fabric.

 This bracelet is narrower than many of the other examples posted at only 2 1/8 (52 mm) wide.

This is built on a 12 loop core of 3 mm soft cotton cord.

Custom colors blue and yellow in a turks head bracelet

This 5 x 17 x 3 double diamond piece was made for a customer who wanted school colors used in the design. The size was worked up to 7 1/2" inside circumference that would fit the average adult or large teenager. This being cotton it will shrink a bit and the colors will tend to fade over time especially if worn during swimming in a pool. (Chlorine is an efficient bleaching agent)

The materials are all cotton. The color is blue and yellow. This is an approximation of blue and gold which is a traditional favorite among Boy Scouts and high schools in many parts of the US.
