Here's a repost of the traditional sailor's bracelets done in nylon cord. These are three strand "narrow" turks heads available through many outlets and online. These bracelets are left loose and may be worked up to a smaller size by removing slack from the knot. The ends may then be trimmed for a neat appearance.
These will not shrink when wet because they are made of nylon.
