grey paracord turks head knot bracelet 2470

 550 paracord is a popular material for crafters including the survival bracelet market (can't survive without a nylon bracelet? - nice!). This design is not intended to be unraveled in an emergency but it does make a stylish accessory.

This is a silver grey color cord available from u-braid-it braiding supply company. I buy from them because they offer great customer service and quick shipping.

 This bracelet is a 12 x 5 x 3 design made from a double diamond pattern. This requires the use of a mold to hold the cords in place while the knot is developed. The double diamond pattern is too complex to be tied "in-the-hand" the way some of these turks heads are done.

My bracelets are NOT pre-shrunk but are made with new cord materials. This means that you can buy a larger size and expect the bracelet to shrink on your wrist. This example is 7 1/2" (191 mm) circumference just off the mold.

Paracord will shrink approximately 10% to 12% when wet and will take a "set" once it has been immersed in water.  This is the inner filler fibers shrinking, not the outer braided sheath. Repeated wettings will result in a bit more shrinkage each time until the material has reached equilibrium.

special order for fun - teen size rope bracelets in bright colors

These fun colored rope bracelets were made in a special order for some  kids who were going to summer camp. These are made smaller than the adult sizes and all are fully adjustable so that each can be made to fit comfortably.


Left to right: Red, bright pink, green, blue-green, and blue. The material is a 100% braided cotton cord hand dyed in small batches.

birthday party!

 Rope bracelets make great party favors. Here's a collection that was made for an upcoming birthday. The guests will receive either a blue, green or blended color bracelet, the purple one is reserved for the birthday child.


The materials are hand dyed 3 mm cotton cord. The weave pattern is a double diamond made in a smaller size for teenagers. These are adjustable as well so the recipients can make them fit the way they want.

This is a group of medium size bracelets made with both blue and green cords. These can be worked up to fit as well. There are of course two extra loose ends!

black polyester & green glass beads turks head knot rope bracelet 127

Here is a smaller size black polyester bracelet with green glass beads interwoven. There is a larger size of this exact same design listed in the Etsy shop #366. Both are made of the same materials.

The design is a 12 x 5 x 2 double diamond weave with the beads placed in the second (doubling) strand. Polyester will have very minimal shrinkage if any at all. The color is integral to the cord so there should be no fading or at least minimal fading over time.
Size for this one is 6 3/4" inside circumference which would be an adult "small". The weave is relaxed so it can slip over a slightly larger hand. It's about 2 1/4" inside diameter and 1 1/4" wide.

The ends are stitched so it will hold it's shape and not unravel.

If you want an adjustable bracelet in this design with unattached ends so that you can tighten it up to your custom size just ask.
