Made from 1.2 mm black nylon this is a comfortable bracelet for someone with smaller hands. The classic "over two- under two" basket weave pattern is made entirely from a single piece of cord.

An extra large size classic weave with a more masculine look made with polyester cord.

Adult "extra large" size:

3" inside diameter or about 9 1/4" inside circumference by 1 1/8" wide by suitable for someone with huge hands or could be worn as an upper arm bracelet.

There will be some slight shrinkage when wet. The ends have been stitched to prevent unraveling.

This is another classic design turks head bracelet made out of cotton and polyester cord. Color is white with a brown center.

Size is adult "medium"

2 1/2" inside diameter or about 7 5/8" inside circumference by 1 1/8" wide.

This is a medium size for most people. The cotton will stretch over your hand and will shrink slightly when wet.

The ends have been stitched to prevent unraveling.

repost - three strand sailor's bracelet collection #130

Here's a repost of the traditional sailor's bracelets done in nylon cord. These are three strand "narrow" turks heads available through many outlets and online. 

These bracelets are left loose and may be worked up to a smaller size by removing slack from the knot. The ends may then be trimmed for a neat appearance.

These will not shrink when wet because they are made of nylon.

This collection of grommets are made with 1 mm nylon worked in an eight strand square sennit pattern. The diameter of the smallest is 2 1/2" the largest is about 3 1/4". They are about 1/4" square making these small and delicate but very tough.

white nylon 5x to 7x turks head knot bracelet #132

Here's an unusual and interesting design that has a variable number of parts depending on where around the knot you are looking.

The design comes from a dutch website so the language barrier is overcome by the graphics including an animated diagram showing the arrangement of the parts. There is also a nice step by step set of diagrams to follow. This example is made from 1/8" nylon braided cord. You can find this material at hardware stores or home improvement warehouses.

8 part square sennit bracelet

These bright colored nylon rope bracelets start out as a four part grommet which then is interwoven with four additional strands to complete the eight part design. The bead marks the place where the direction of the line reverses.

This one started with 9 loops in the grommet resulting in an inside diameter of about 2 1/4".

nylon plaited bracelet

Eight strands of interwoven nylon cord make up a medium size bracelet. The cross section of the bracelet is square making it easy to stack these for a more dramatic effect.

Here is a traditional turks head design done in 3 mm orange nylon. Measures 2 1/2" inside and 1 1/2" wide. Each of the nine strands is drawn up with 3 passes of cord.

This is an 8 strand plaited bracelet made from a single piece of 1/8" cotton-poly cord. The diameter is about 2 1/4" inside making this a medium size for most people. 

9 part Turks head with beads

This is a 9 part 13 bight example that has extra pieces of line with beads interwoven. 

The interwoven strands follow the diagonal weave of the knot.

This example measures about 5" diameter and required about 25 ft of 1/8" nylon line. 

These braids can be made in various diameters by increasing the number of bights in the grommet.

Two views of a 9 strand x 22 bight diamond pattern knot worked up to a completed form. The 3 mm black nylon is doubled. Size is 1 3/4" x 2" inside diameter.

black leather 9 x 21

This is a 9 strand x 21 bight "narrow" diamond pattern knot executed in black sueded leather. The detail is hard to see in the photo but the strands are doubled  with the flat leather running parallel around the knot. 

Size is 1 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" diameter suitable for a medium to large wrist. The material gives a bit when stretched. 

herringbone design with beads

This is a 13 part x 25 bight herringbone doubled with a few colored beads on the loose ends. Size is 1 3/8" wide x 2 1/8" diameter. Material is 1/8" nylon.

White paracord herringbone weave bracelet small

A small, tight 17 strand x 33 bight herringbone done in paracord and worked up to a firm finish.

This is an "over two-under two" herringbone weave pattern made with a single pass of cord. The "V" weave pattern is clearly visible.

Size is "small" and this is rather stiff shape that will not shrink however parachute cord is known to absorb water and retain a "set" once knotted firmly.

This is another "diamond pattern" done with 9 parts, 13 bights, and tripled. It's a nice flexible form than can slip over a medium wrist. Size is approx 2" x 2"

This is a three stand three part knot done in hard nylon filament. It's really stiff as the nylon monofilament is thick.
